Today saw elevated drama as the office task proceedings intensified and we got much work and eating done.
Cats inspected the work so far, they won't be as strict as the businessmen though ahahaha oh dear. They were very complimentary of our work.
We used schnee schnaa schnippy scissors to schnip the paper ready for adhesion to the wall which was smooth and prepared for the paper that we were cutting with the scissors.
The wall was not smooth and prepared so Matt used a scouring cube to prepare the wall, the scraping style of the material was perfect for smoothing the wall until it was soft enough for paper.
Here is one we prepared earlier ahahahaha the camera picks up the paper very well and we expect this is a picture you will print out and share with friends and loved ones.
This was our finest hour, the wallpaper had to go in the same place as the current light switch, so I drew a square where the light switch should go and cutting it made it better. Matthew must wear the wrist protection harness.
I did not use the Stanley knife for I am terrified of Stanley.
With the light switch in place it was time to test it and see if it would develop a fault which could prove fatal. As you can see the room was much dark. If the light switch failed the office task would have to end.
The lighting was a success! The Office Task can continue!
Note: If you are wiring a light switch remember that some light switches have three wire positions, L1 and L2, the l stands for light switch. If you want the light switch to be the right way up you must put the wire in L2 so that when the light switch is in the off position the light is off and when the light switch is in the on position the light is on. If the light switch is turned over you must put the wire in L1 so that when the light switch is in the off position the light is off and when the light switch is in the on position the light is on. It is important to bear in mind which way the light switch is because if you wire it incorrectly the light will be on when the switch is in the off position and the light will be off when the switch is in the on position which is not standard and will cause complaints from noisy neighbours and the council government alike. Be aware of this fact.
Matthew's computer appeared suddenly when we didn't have to steam so it didn't have to be taken out of the room in the first place. It played inspirational songs throughout the day that kept us rollin'.
Me and Matthew we have remained good friends throughout the Office Task and we have not argued but he wanted to start papering from that corner and I refused. It made me much angry and threatened to end the Office Task.
Remember the much dangerous socket? The time came to remedy the much dangerous socket. Here is how it looked and it was much silly with scrabblings upon it.
Using Matthew's hand we removed the plug to reveal the inner workings, Matthew's house still uses wired electricity which is much slower than more modern solutions but also easier to work with without having to call a specialist. As you can see there were three wire types, red for L, black for N and Earth for E (Earth).
On with the paper my son!Plug marking ensued. I put a cross in the middle to stop Matthew cutting out the entire wall.
You got wires, comin' out of your wall ahahahaha. We no took a picture of the finished socket.
We papered long into the night using hands and thought. It was much mental strain, people who do this for a living are millionaires or dead.Good job we take so many breaks, this was a Mars break.
We also took a break to learn how the Internet works.
It was the worst cutting seen to date. I was ashamed and my father was ashamed. It was shameful.
We ran out of paste so we had to mix much more, we used the incorrect method of production which created a gooey mess, there was far too much powder also because the packet contained 40% more than the average packet, which was printed very small on the packaging and should have been clearer to prevent future disasters.
We tipped the disaster goo in the garden and cats were surrounding it within seconds, they will surely be killed.
Todays food of choice was Chicken Fu Yung from the Summer Palace (New) it is a much lovely brick of egg and chicken that comes in layers and style and grease. The bag is offensive to all concerned.
Here is some lovely papering we achieved today, the rounded corner is something to look forward to in the future.
Max has much manky teeth.
We have made good progress today but must pick up the pace if we are going to make our November deadline when businessmen come to survey our progress. We've made mistakes and we hope they won't notice because paint hides all oh dear ahahahaha what's that Matthew? October? Oh dear ahahaha!
Day four might be Sunday as a matter of fact.
